Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 can crescent roll dough Use a standard 8 oz. can
  • 1 pound Halal Italian sausage Cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook Halal Italian sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease and crumble the sausage.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides. Pinch the seams to create a solid crust.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Spoon the sausage mixture over the crescent roll crust, then top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
  2. Allow the casserole to cool slightly before slicing into squares. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to a month. To reheat, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake until heated through (about 15-20 minutes).
