Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook Halal Italian sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease and crumble the sausage.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides. Pinch the seams to create a solid crust.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spoon the sausage mixture over the crescent roll crust, then top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to cool slightly before slicing into squares. Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to a month. To reheat, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake until heated through (about 15-20 minutes).
