Irresistible Spicy Korean Ramen with Grilled Beef & Creamy Sauce

A bold and comforting bowl of ramen featuring tender grilled beef, spicy Korean-inspired broth, and a rich, creamy sauce. Packed with flavor, this ramen is perfect for an elevated weeknight dinner or a cozy, restaurant-style meal at home.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Beef:
  • 8 oz 225 g beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Broth:
  • 4 cups chicken or beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • For the Creamy Sauce:
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise optional for extra creaminess
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha adjust to taste
  • For the Ramen Bowl:
  • 2 servings ramen noodles fresh or instant, discard seasoning if using instant
  • 1 cup fresh spinach or bok choy
  • 1 soft-boiled egg per bowl
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pot (for boiling noodles and making broth)
  • Skillet or grill pan (for beef)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Marinate and cook the beef:
  2. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and black pepper.
  3. Toss the beef slices in the marinade for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook beef slices 1–2 minutes per side until cooked through. Set aside.
  5. Prepare the broth:
  6. In a large pot, combine broth, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and garlic.
  7. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  8. Cook the noodles:
  9. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain and divide into bowls.
  10. Make the creamy sauce:
  11. In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream, mayonnaise, and sriracha until smooth.
  12. Assemble the bowls:
  13. Pour hot broth over the noodles.
  14. Top with grilled beef, spinach or bok choy, and soft-boiled eggs.
  15. Drizzle creamy sauce over the top.
  16. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust the amount of gochujang and sriracha to control spiciness.
Use leftover grilled beef or substitute with chicken or tofu for variation.
Soft-boiled eggs can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
For extra flavor, add mushrooms, bean sprouts, or kimchi as toppings.
