Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the sourdough loaf diagonally without cutting all the way through.
- Generously push the garlic butter mixture into each cut of the sourdough.
- If desired, sprinkle grated parmesan on top of the loaf.
- Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil.
Baking
- Place the wrapped loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, carefully unwrap the foil and allow the bread to bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Once baked, remove the garlic bread from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice it up, and serve it warm.
Notes
For an extra kick, roast your garlic instead of using it raw. Store leftovers in a resealable bag at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes wrapped in foil.
