  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure at room temperature for easy spreading.
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste preference.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for added flavor)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-blended. Optionally add parsley.
  3. Slice the sourdough bread into thick slices, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
  4. Generously slather the garlic butter mixture between the slices of bread.
  5. Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil.
  6. Bake the wrapped loaf in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 5 minutes for a toastier finish.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, then carefully unwrap. Sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
