Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup hot honey Can be substituted with honey mixed with cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the chicken.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • Fresh herbs for garnish Optional garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to achieve a perfect crispy texture when cooking.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot enough that it sizzles when chicken is added.
  2. Carefully place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side without moving them.
  3. Once the first side is beautifully browned, flip the chicken breasts over.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and pour the hot honey over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  5. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serving
  1. Slice the chicken and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For perfect results, ensure chicken is at room temperature before cooking and avoid overcrowding the pan. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
