Main Ingredients
  • 1 round round Brie cheese (around 8 ounces) Alternatively, use Camembert or soft goat cheese.
  • 1 loaf loaf of bread (round or sourdough preferred) Choose a rustic bread for best results.
  • 1/2 cup hot honey Can be made by mixing honey with chili flakes.
  • to taste Fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary, chopped Enhances flavor and aroma.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut off the top of the round loaf of bread to create a lid, and hollow out the inside, leaving about an inch of crust intact.
  3. Place the round Brie cheese into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
  4. Drizzle hot honey over the Brie, add salt and pepper, and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
  5. Cover with the bread lid and place on a baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with the bread you hollowed out or extra crackers.

Notes

For best results, check the cheese around the 20-minute mark to avoid overbaking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
