Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets and mince the garlic cloves.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and let it cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Pour this mixture into the skillet, stirring well.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir to combine. Cover and let it cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. If you want a thicker sauce, let it simmer without the lid for a bit longer.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles or enjoy it on its own.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle sesame seeds or chili flakes before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to 2 months.
