  1. Grab a blender or food processor; make sure it’s clean and dry for optimal blending.
  2. Take one cup of granulated sugar and carefully pour it into the blender or food processor.
  3. Secure the lid and blend the sugar on high speed until it reaches a fine, powdery consistency, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  4. Stop the blender and carefully remove the lid to check the consistency. If it’s not fully powdered, blend for an additional 10-15 seconds.
  5. Once you’ve achieved the fluffy powdered sugar look, transfer it to an airtight container.

Notes

To prevent clumping, you can add a teaspoon of cornstarch while blending. Adjust sweetness as desired, and use a fine mesh sieve to remove lumps if necessary. Store in an airtight container for up to three months. In humid climates, refrigerate to prevent clumping.
