Preparation
- Grab a blender or food processor; make sure it’s clean and dry for optimal blending.
- Take one cup of granulated sugar and carefully pour it into the blender or food processor.
- Secure the lid and blend the sugar on high speed until it reaches a fine, powdery consistency, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Stop the blender and carefully remove the lid to check the consistency. If it’s not fully powdered, blend for an additional 10-15 seconds.
- Once you’ve achieved the fluffy powdered sugar look, transfer it to an airtight container.
Notes
To prevent clumping, you can add a teaspoon of cornstarch while blending. Adjust sweetness as desired, and use a fine mesh sieve to remove lumps if necessary. Store in an airtight container for up to three months. In humid climates, refrigerate to prevent clumping.
