  • 4-6 lemons Fresh lemons About 1 cup of lemon juice
  • 4 cups Water Split into warm water and cold water
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust according to taste

  • as required none Mint leaves For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and roll them on the counter to release juices easily.
  2. Cut the lemons in half and juice them to yield about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
Mixing
  1. In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of warm water. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir everything together.
  3. Taste your lemonade; if desired, add more sugar for sweetness.
Serving
  1. Add ice to your glasses, pour the lemonade over the ice, and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Best served chilled and not reheated.
