Preparation
- Wash the lemons thoroughly and roll them on the counter to release juices easily.
- Cut the lemons in half and juice them to yield about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
Mixing
- In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of warm water. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir everything together.
- Taste your lemonade; if desired, add more sugar for sweetness.
Serving
- Add ice to your glasses, pour the lemonade over the ice, and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
