Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with turkey or chicken.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups cooked pasta Elbow macaroni or any shape you prefer.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can adjust based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
Optional Toppings
  • crushed potato chips For added crunch.
  • fried onions For added texture.
  • chopped parsley For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, over medium heat, crumble and cook the ground beef along with the diced onion. Season with salt and pepper until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and paprika to create a creamy sauce. Fold in the ground beef mixture until every piece is well coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top until it’s evenly covered.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. If desired, sprinkle crushed potato chips or fried onions on top during the last 5 minutes for an extra crunch.
Serving
  1. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Top with fresh parsley if desired and enjoy this delicious creation with your family!

Notes

For best results, ensure pasta is cooked al dente and watch the casserole during the last minutes of baking to prevent burning.
