Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, orange zest, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into smaller portions. Shape them into skulls and bones using molds or by hand.
  8. Place the shaped dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Once baked, allow them to cool before serving. Optional: dust with powdered sugar for an inviting touch.
