  • 1 cup 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 pieces 3 eggs
  • 1 cup 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using a homemade pie crust, roll it out to fit a 9-inch pie dish. Place it in the dish, crimping the edges, and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until fully combined.
  4. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the melted butter, blending it well into the mixture for an extra level of richness.
  6. Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pie crust, allowing it to fill evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
  2. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for at least an hour before slicing.

Notes

For the best flavor and texture, serve your pie slightly chilled. This allows the filling to set perfectly while still providing that creamy delight!
