  • 4 large large cucumbers, thinly sliced Choose firm, crispy cucumbers for best texture.
  • 1 medium medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh dill (optional for garnish) Add for an extra flavor touch.

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds. You can peel them if you prefer.
  2. Slice the onion into thin, even slices.
Mixing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Combining
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced cucumbers and onions. Pour the dressing over the veggies and mix gently to ensure everything is coated.
Marinating
  1. Cover the bowl and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
  1. Give the salad a gentle stir before serving, and garnish with fresh dill if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Best enjoyed fresh and does not freeze well.
