Method
Preparation
- Spread a generous layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Layering
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, sprinkle your cheese blend evenly.
- If using toppings, layer them on top of the cheese, avoiding overstuffing.
Cooking
- Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up, and heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place your sandwich in the skillet.
- Grill for approximately 3-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and then flip it to cook the other side for another 3-5 minutes.
Serving
- Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the skillet.
- Let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and serve garnished with herbs.
Notes
For best results, use thicker slices of bread and avoid rushing the cooking process. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
