Preparation
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Push the onion and garlic to the side of the skillet and add the sliced halal sausage. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the gnocchi to the skillet, tossing it with the sausage and onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes to allow the gnocchi to absorb some flavor.
- Stir in the peas and season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Cover the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the peas to warm through and everything to meld together.
- Remove the skillet from heat, stirring in the grated Parmesan cheese. The gnocchi should be creamy, silky, and visually appealing.
- Plate your delicious dish and sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.
Notes
If you find yourself with leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, warm on the stove over medium heat with a splash of water or olive oil to maintain creamy texture.
