  • 16 oz 1 package of gnocchi (about 16 ounces) Use fresh or store-bought gnocchi.
  • 1 cup 1 cup of green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb 1 pound of Halal Italian sausage Feel free to substitute with ground chicken or turkey if needed.
  • 2 tbsp 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Grated Parmesan cheese for serving Add more or less based on preference.

  1. Start by gathering your ingredients to streamline the cooking process.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the Halal Italian sausage and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 7-9 minutes.
  3. Once the sausage is cooked, add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the gnocchi and cook according to the package instructions until they float, typically around 2-3 minutes.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with the sausage and garlic, and gently mix in the green peas.
  6. If desired, add a splash of the gnocchi cooking water for added creaminess.
Finishing
  1. Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper as needed.
  2. Serve hot, sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to a month. Reheat on the stovetop, adding a splash of water if necessary.
