  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Method
 

Cooking the Noodles
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add your spaghetti or noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the noodles.
Preparing the Garlic Butter
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter until coated.
  2. If needed, pour in a bit of the reserved pasta water to help the sauce cling to the noodles.
Adding Parmesan and Serving
  1. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing well until it melts.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. If you're using parsley, sprinkle it over the top for added color and freshness.
  4. Serve immediately, and enjoy warm!

Notes

For a vegan version, consider switching butter for plant-based alternatives and Parmesan cheese for nutritional yeast. Ensure garlic doesn’t brown too much as burnt garlic can taste bitter. This dish is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, place noodles in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of olive oil or a bit of butter.
