  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
Optional Ingredients

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until blended.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract and red food coloring until smooth and combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, being cautious not to over-mix.
  6. If using, gently fold in the white chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving

  2. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For a Halal-friendly version, consider substituting Greek yogurt or dairy-free butter for the unsalted butter. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. They can be frozen for up to three months.
