  • 1 loaf French bread Use a fresh loaf for the best results.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Or your favorite pizza sauce.
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to add more for extra cheesiness!
  • 0.5 cups diced bell peppers Any color is fine.
  • 0.5 cups sliced black olives Optional, can be replaced with your preferred toppings.
  • 0.25 cups sliced red onion
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For drizzling on the bread.
Garnish
  • to taste Fresh parsley For garnish, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the bread for added flavor and crispiness.
  4. Spread marinara sauce generously over each half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  6. Add diced bell peppers, sliced olives, and red onion.
  7. Sprinkle dried oregano and basil on top.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 10–12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Experiment with toppings to personalize your pizza. For a crunchier base, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes at the end. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
