Ingredients

Shrimp and Marinade
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Opt for large and firm shrimp for best texture.
  • 4 tablespoons garlic butter (melted) Can use store-bought or homemade garlic butter.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For added richness.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds a nice color and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is preferred.
  • 1 package skewers If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted garlic butter, olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the shrimp in this mixture until they’re well-coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes for maximum flavor.
  3. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, making sure not to overcrowd them.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once it’s ready, place the skewers on the grill.
  2. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  3. Remove the skewers carefully, drizzle with any leftover garlic butter, and sprinkle with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a skillet over low heat to maintain texture.
