Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons) Strained to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust if you prefer less sweetness.
  • 4 cups water Divided.
  • 1 cup strawberries or raspberries (fresh or frozen) Use fresh for best results or frozen for convenience.
  • as needed Ice cubes For serving.
  • as needed whipped cream Optional for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Juice the lemons: Start by squeezing the juice from the lemons until you have about 1 cup. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
  2. Blend the fruits: In a blender, combine your choice of strawberries or raspberries with a bit of water (about 1/4 cup) and blend until smooth.
  3. Mix the lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining water (about 3 3/4 cups). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Add the fruit puree: Stir in the blended fruit until well combined.
  5. Whip it up: For the frothy texture, use a whisk to whip the mixture vigorously or use a hand mixer for about 30 seconds.
  6. Serve: Fill your favorite glasses with ice and pour the pink lemonade over. Top with whipped cream if desired for an extra treat!

Notes

Adjust sweetness according to taste. Substitute with honey or stevia for a healthier option. If making for a party, use frozen fruit to keep the lemonade cold without dilution. Can be stored in the refrigerator for about 2-3 days.
