Preparation
- Toast the three slices of bread until they are golden brown.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
- Layer two or three lettuce leaves on the first slice of mayo-covered bread.
- Add the turkey slices evenly on top of the lettuce.
- Place the sliced avocado on top of the turkey.
- Add the tomato slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place the second slice of bread mayo-side down on top of the tomato and repeat the layering process.
- Finish with the third slice of bread mayo-side down to close the sandwich.
- Cut the sandwich into halves or quarters and serve.
Notes
Store uneaten portions in the refrigerator wrapped tightly in plastic wrap for up to 2 days. For the best flavor, enjoy on the same day.
