Preparation
- Start by slicing the beef flank steak thinly against the grain.
- Chop broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces.
Making the Sauce
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and water. Whisk until smooth.
Cooking
- Place the sliced beef in the bottom of the crockpot and pour the prepared sauce over it.
- Add broccoli florets on top of the beef and sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Serve over warm rice with extra sauce drizzled from the crockpot.
Notes
Let leftovers cool in airtight containers. They can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop, adding a splash of water to maintain moisture.
