  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional) For added presentation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, arrange the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a single layer. Season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Spread 1 cup of ricotta cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.
  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the ricotta layer, ensuring it's evenly spread.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
