Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large baking dish, arrange the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a single layer. Season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Spread 1 cup of ricotta cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the ricotta layer, ensuring it's evenly spread.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
