Ingredients
  

For the truffles
  • 1 cup crushed red velvet cake (store-bought or homemade) Ensure cake is completely cooled before crumbling.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Use Halal-friendly or dairy-free options if needed.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Melt for coating the truffles.
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder For decoration.
  • to taste sprinkles for decoration Use colorful sprinkles for a festive touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crumble the cooled red velvet cake into fine crumbs in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined and shapeable.
  3. Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used, placing truffles on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Refrigerate the rolled truffles for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
Coating and Decoration
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate and place them back on the parchment-lined tray.
  3. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle cocoa powder and decorative sprinkles on top.
  4. Allow the chocolate coating to harden in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a single layer until solid, then transfer to a freezer-safe container. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
