Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Open the package of cinnamon roll dough and carefully unroll it onto a clean, floured surface. Stretch it out gently to form a large rectangle.
- In a bowl, combine the pistachio cream, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well to create a flavorful paste.
- Evenly spread the pistachio mixture over the dough rectangle, covering the entire surface.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped pistachios evenly over the pistachio cream layer.
- Starting from one end, tightly roll the dough away from you, creating a log shape. Pinch the ends to seal in the filling.
- Cut the rolled dough into even sections, about 1.5 inches thick. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the rolls.
Baking
- Place your baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Mix powdered sugar with a little water to create icing and drizzle it over the warm rolls just before serving.
Notes
For substitutions, blend unsalted roasted pistachios with honey for homemade pistachio cream. Be careful not to overbake the rolls.
