Into the Crockpot
- Place the seasoned roast in the crockpot and pour in the beef broth and water, ensuring it covers about half of the roast.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Shredding
- Carefully remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
Assembly
- Slice hoagie rolls open, fill with shredded beef, and add cheese if desired.
Serving
- Ladle some of the cooking liquid into small bowls for dipping.
