Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Hot Dogs, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar for the sweet glaze
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce your favorite variety for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted for richness
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika for smokiness
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder adds flavor depth
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder to elevate the taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to achieve a crispy exterior.
  2. Cut the hot dogs into uniform bite-sized cubes for even cooking.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cubed hot dogs, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, melted butter, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Ensure everything is well-coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
Finishing
  1. After baking, brush with more barbecue sauce if desired.
  2. Switch your oven to broil and place them back in for 2-3 minutes until caramelized, watching closely to prevent burning.
  3. Once golden brown, remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Substitutions: Use halal turkey or chicken hot dogs for a lighter option. Keep an eye on the burnt ends while broiling to avoid burning. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for a perfect crispy texture. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container or freeze for a month.
