Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Lemon zest for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the green beans under cool water and trim off the ends. Set them aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Give it a minute to warm up.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, keeping an eye on it to prevent burning.
  4. Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the garlicky oil. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn vibrant green and remain crisp-tender.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the green beans, adding salt and pepper to taste. Toss everything together. Optionally, add lemon zest for garnish.
  6. Serve hot and watch as everyone grabs for a second helping!

Notes

For a Halal-friendly option, consider substituting Parmesan with nutritional yeast or another cheese. Avoid overcooking the green beans to maintain their crunch. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking. Adjust seasoning to taste.
