Coating
- Put the flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each slice of feta cheese in the flour, ensuring both sides are well coated. Shake off any excess flour.
Heating Oil
- In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until hot enough to sizzle when feta is added but not smoking.
Frying Feta
- Carefully place the floured feta slices in the pan, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Serving
- Remove the crispy feta from the pan and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and sprinkle fresh herbs on top if desired.
Notes
Ensure oil is hot for even frying. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a hot skillet or air fryer for best results.
