  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat) For a crunchier texture, use panko breadcrumbs.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with almond flour for a healthier option.
  • 2 pieces eggs Whisk the eggs for an even coating.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds flavor and color.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the overall taste.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to your preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat it with cooking spray or olive oil.
  3. In three separate bowls, set up your dipping stations with flour mixed with salt and pepper, whisked eggs, and breadcrumbs combined with paprika and garlic powder.
  4. Cut fish fillets into 1-inch wide strips.
  5. Coat each fish strip in flour, dip into egg wash, and then coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Place coated sticks on baking sheet.
  6. Lightly spray tops of fish sticks with cooking spray or olive oil.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden and cooked through, flipping halfway.
  2. Serve immediately with fresh lemon juice or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. They can also be frozen for about 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispy texture.
