  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is softened, not melted
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For dusting before baking
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor to the cookies

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, egg, and the cake mix. Stir until well blended and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Mix in the teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, scoop the cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  5. Generously sprinkle powdered sugar over each cookie before baking.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden around the edges but gooey in the center.
  2. Once baked, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for two weeks or freeze for three months. To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds.
