Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough Approximately 8 biscuits
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the biscuit package instructions (usually around 350°F).
Combine the Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, milk, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well until everything is mixed and warmed through, about 5 minutes.
Add the Dumplings
  1. Open the refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Gently drop the biscuit pieces into the warm chicken mixture, covering it evenly.
Simmer and Bake
  1. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes, ensuring the dumplings start to puff. Then, transfer the saucepan to the oven, baking for an additional 15 minutes until the dumplings are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve and Enjoy
  1. Once you've taken it out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Ladle generous portions into bowls and enjoy!
