Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large head cauliflower, grated
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Butter or oil for frying

Method

Preparation
  1. Remove the green leaves from the cauliflower, cut it into smaller florets, and grate it using a box grater or a food processor until you have about 4 cups of grated cauliflower.
  2. In a non-stick frying pan, heat a tablespoon of butter or oil over medium heat. Add the grated cauliflower and cook for about 5 minutes until it’s tender. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked cauliflower, shredded cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
Cooking
  1. In the same frying pan, add another teaspoon of butter or oil. Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  2. Plate your delicious cauliflower grilled cheese and enjoy hot! Pair it with your favorite dipping sauce or a salad on the side.

Notes

Top tips for perfecting your grilled cheese include draining excess moisture from cauliflower, experimenting with different cheese varieties, and monitoring frying time to ensure proper cooking.
