Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set aside!
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Mix in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the milk and vanilla extract. Blend until all combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined—avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
