Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken strips and soy sauce. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- While the chicken marinates, chop your bell peppers, onion, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat until sizzling.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan in a single layer. Let it cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until browned, then stir and cook the other side for about another 3 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, toss in the bell peppers, broccoli, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry everything together for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, and stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Serve immediately while hot, topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Substitutions: Use any vegetables you have on hand. Timing is key for a stir-fry; keep everything moving to avoid burning. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
