Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until well mixed.
- Start incorporating flour, one cup at a time. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- After rising, punch down the dough gently and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until it has risen above the edge of the pan.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. The bread should sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it and cool completely on a wire rack. Slice and enjoy.
