Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups warm milk 110°F - 115°F
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5-6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Start incorporating flour, one cup at a time. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. After rising, punch down the dough gently and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until it has risen above the edge of the pan.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. The bread should sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it and cool completely on a wire rack. Slice and enjoy.
