  • 2 cups Vidalia onions, finely chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Can be substituted with similar spreadable cheese.
  • 1 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be used as a substitute.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the finely chopped Vidalia onions. Sauté the onions for about 5-7 minutes until they become translucent and fragrant, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Blend until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Once the onions have cooled slightly, add them to the cream cheese and sour cream mixture. Stir until evenly combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a small baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For best flavor, consider letting the dip sit for a few minutes before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to a month.
