Ingredients
  

For the peaches
  • 4 pieces ripe peaches, halved and pitted Make sure to select ripe but firm peaches.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed Coconut sugar can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Crucial for creating a delicious caramel sauce.
For serving
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream Optional, for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. Arrange the halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing well.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture generously over each peach half.
  5. Top each peach half with about half a tablespoon of butter.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the sugar is bubbling.
  2. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds or re-bake for 10 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
