Preparation
- Begin by scrubbing the russet potatoes under running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Using a fork, poke several holes around each potato to allow steam to escape.
- Rub each potato with olive oil (or melted butter) and sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
- Cook the potatoes for about 35 to 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
Serving
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
- Slice them open, fluffing with a fork, and top with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes. Can be frozen for 2-3 months.
