For the French Silk Topping
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened At room temperature.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sifted before measuring.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Sifted.
  • 2 large eggs, raw Ensure freshness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, stirring until everything is blended together.
  4. Pour the brownie mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Making the Silk Topping
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add the raw eggs and vanilla extract, continuing to mix until light and fluffy.
Finishing
  1. Once the brownies have cooled completely, spread the French silk topping evenly over them.
  2. Refrigerate for at least an hour to set before slicing into squares.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. Don't overbake to maintain a fudgy texture. Chill before slicing for easier portioning.
