Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
Baking
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Cut into squares and enjoy!

For the best results, use high-quality chocolate and don’t overbake. Experiment with flavors by adding vanilla or espresso powder.
