Preparation
- Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
- Place the salted roast in your crockpot and sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top.
- Cut the unsalted butter into chunks and place it on top of the seasoned roast.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers on top. Puncture a few with a knife for extra flavor infusion.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, checking for tenderness.
Serving
- Once finished, remove the roast from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred with forks and enjoy with your favorite sides.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Reheat by thawing and warming with beef broth or water.
