Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 lbs chuck roast Best flavor and tenderness.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Cut into chunks.
  • 10-12 pieces pepperoncini peppers Adjust quantity based on spice preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Place the salted roast in your crockpot and sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top.
  3. Cut the unsalted butter into chunks and place it on top of the seasoned roast.
  4. Add the pepperoncini peppers on top. Puncture a few with a knife for extra flavor infusion.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, checking for tenderness.
Serving
  1. Once finished, remove the roast from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred with forks and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Reheat by thawing and warming with beef broth or water.
