- Begin by slicing your two large onions.
- Generously season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- Optional: Sear the roast in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side for added flavor.
- Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Set the seared roast on top of the onions.
- Pour the French onion soup and beef broth over the roast, followed by the Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
- Once cooked, let the pot roast rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
