Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 large russet potatoes, washed and cut into wedges Russet potatoes are ideal for frying due to their high starch content.
Seasoning and Oil
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Topping
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add on top for flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Soak the cut potato wedges in cold water for about 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and dry the wedges thoroughly using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, toss the dried potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the seasoned wedges out evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. Remove from oven, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For best results, soak the potatoes to improve texture and ensure they are well spaced on the baking sheet. Experiment with different seasonings for unique flavors.
