Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the ends to ensure even cooking.
- In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Lay out the asparagus onto a baking sheet and drizzle the garlic and olive oil mixture over the top. Toss to coat.
- Generously sprinkle grated Parmesan over the coated asparagus.
Cooking
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until asparagus is tender and cheese is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute before serving. Best served warm.
Notes
Substitutions include using Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast. Keep an eye on asparagus while baking to avoid overcooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
