For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
For the Sliders
  • 8-10 pieces Slider buns
  • To taste Lettuce leaves
  • To taste Tomato slices
  • To taste Pickles
  • To taste Mayonnaise

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces.
  2. Tenderize the chicken slightly if desired for a more succulent bite.
Set Up Dredging Stations
  1. In one bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and buttermilk together until well combined.
  3. In the third bowl, pour in the breadcrumbs.
Dredge the Chicken
  1. Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, coating it thoroughly.
  2. Next, dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Carefully add the chicken pieces and fry until golden brown, about 4-6 minutes per side.
  3. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Assemble the Sliders
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, place each piece on slider buns.
  2. Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a dollop of mayonnaise.
