Preparation
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up into smaller pieces as it cooks. Add the diced onion and cook until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- While the beef is still warm, mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
Wrapping
- Carefully lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger mixture onto the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Moisten the top corner with a little water to seal the roll.
Frying
- In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat enough vegetable oil to submerge the egg rolls over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the egg rolls to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serving
- Let them cool slightly, then serve your crispy cheeseburger egg rolls with ketchup, mustard, or any of your favorite dipping sauces!
Notes
Tips: Don’t overfill the egg rolls to prevent bursting during frying. Optionally, for a healthier version, brush with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
