- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim and wash the fresh green beans, ensuring they are dry before seasoning.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, toss the green beans with the olive oil mixture until well-coated.
- Mix in the pieces of halal-friendly bacon.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a variation, try using turkey bacon or beef bacon. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results.
