  • 4 strips halal-friendly bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and wash the fresh green beans, ensuring they are dry before seasoning.
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with the olive oil mixture until well-coated.
  5. Mix in the pieces of halal-friendly bacon.
  6. Spread the mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a variation, try using turkey bacon or beef bacon. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results.
