Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). A hot oven is key to achieving that crispy texture!
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until every slice is evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- After 25 minutes, remove the slices from the oven and sprinkle your desired amount of cheese on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, just until the cheese has melted.
- Once golden brown, remove the potato slices from the oven and optionally sprinkle with fresh herbs for flavor before serving.
Notes
Store leftover potato slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or an air fryer for best results.
